Developers Conference 2019 by the Mauritius Software Craftsmanship Community (MSCC) to offer three days of knowledge transfer and professional networking on the latest trends in information technology (IT).

REDUIT, MAURITIUS - Organisers expect more than 500 technology enthusiasts and geeks to attend the Mauritius Software Craftsmanship Community’s fifth edition of their three-day conference this year, scheduled for 11-13 April at Voila Hotel and Flying Dodo Brewing Company. The Developers Conference will be hosting 86 talks by 70 speakers. The event is the largest and most important of its kind in Mauritius.

Since 2015, Developers Conference has been organised in partnership with local and international companies. Like previous years, the event is a free of charge, community-driven, three-days IT tech conference in Mauritius. The Developers Conference is run in cooperation with local IT user groups.

The event features local and international speakers from numerous countries and offers  business opportunities and professional networking. Attendees can learn about latest software development technologies, methodologies, as well as cloud features and infrastructure.

The aim of the conference is to provide local software developers a buffet of tools, practices and principles applicable to tackling current challenges in the Mauritian software development environment. From keeping up to date with the latest technologies and trends to tackling the challenges of working in large enterprise systems – it’s a buffet of experiences, ideas and pragmatic advice as well as an opportunity to connect with peers across the industry.

The event is gaining momentum each year and we are happy to have 24 international speakers this time. The opening ceremony will be held on Thursday, 11th April 10:00 hrs at the Voila Hotel, Bagatelle. In cooperation with Mauritius Commercial Bank (MCB) the event will be hosting the prize giving ceremony of this year’s MCB InovApp challenge during the closing session on Saturday, 13th April at 17:00 hrs at Voila Hotel.

Founded in May 2013 the Mauritius Software Craftsmanship Community (MSCC) has currently over 1.200 members (known as craftsmen) attending various IT activities throughout the year. This is a community for those who care and are proud of what they do. For those developers, regardless how experienced they are, who want to improve and master their craft.
